History
The children’s house nursery opened in April 2000 in a converted barn in the village of Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, as the first centre in the area to offer an authentic Montessori early education for children from birth.
In 2003, the nursery moved to a purpose-built nursery on an adjacent site, providing additional early years places. This centre now offers early childhood education and care for children from birth – 5 and out of school care for children aged 5- 11.
Founded by early education professionals Sylvia Tiffney and Theresa Ellerby (following forty years each in the sector) the nursery has established an outstanding reputation for exceptional provision. Over the past twenty years, the nursery has secured numerous awards and accreditations for the quality of practice, provision and leadership. In 2019 Sylvia was awarded an MBE for services to early years in North East Lincolnshire.
