Funding & Finance

Funded Entitlements for 2, 3 & 4 year olds
2 year old funding (current offer)

Funding is available for 2 year olds if families meet certain criteria. If your 2 year old is eligible they can receive up to 15 funded hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. Details on eligibility are available here. For more information please speak to our Administrator.

2 year old funding (future offer)

From April 2024 children of all working parents will be able to access funding for 15 hours per week of early learning (term time only). We encourage parents/carers to get in touch ahead of this entitlement as places will be limited.

3 & 4 Year old funding

The Government has guaranteed a free part-time early education place for every three and four year old before they become of compulsory school age.

Who can get a free place?

If your child is coming up to three years old and you are paying for a childcare or early education service, you will soon be entitled to a free part-time place for your child. You can purchase additional hours at published rates.

How will my child’s free place be paid for?

The children’s house is registered with NELC to provide funded early learning and we receive a grant (Early Years Education Entitlement – EYEE) enabling us to give your child up to 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year or up to 24 hours per week for 47.5 weeks per year. Any childcare needed outside these free hours will need to be paid for at the rate detailed on our Charges List. An invoice will be produced each month based on the additional hours attended.

What am I entitled to?

You may be entitled to up to 1140 hours per annum* for your three/four year old from the term after their third birthday until the term after their fifth birthday. (*depending on eligibility.)
We offer fully integrated childcare and Montessori education dovetailing the Early Years Foundation Stage with the Montessori philosophy. If you would like further information on this, please speak with the Nursery Manager or Administrator.

Tax Free Childcare

You may also be eligible for Tax Free Childcare if you are a working family or self employed.

  • For working families, including the self-employed, in the UK
  • With children under 12 (or under 17 if disabled)
  • For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year – that’s up to £500 every three months
